Franz Beer Chaverri
Born in Costa Rica in 1937. Obtained his B.S. in Architecture from the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) in 1966; while working as a project developer at the offices of Mr. Rafael Angel Garcia (architect), Omicron and Z&G Construction in the same country. Obtained his Graduate Degree at the University College of London UK (DPU) specializing in Strategies for development in planning in 1973. In Costa Rica he was a partner of the Artec companies, Design Ltd. Also, was the founder of the Artesanal workshop (furniture design) as well as workshops in photography. In 1976 he joined ICESA S.A. of which he is the president since 1982.

His professional practice includes projects in the investigation and development of products in various companies in the construction business, such as: Productos de Concreto, ESCOSA, KATIVO and Neon Nieto. He has been dean of the Plastic Arts School of the Universidad Nacional (UNA), professor at the School of Architecture at the University of Costa Rica (UCR), and until recently was the dean of the School of Architecture at Veritas University for Art and Design. Has participated as a critic, conferencist and jury member in many arts and architecture conferences and expos. His projects and ideas have been published in the book "Contemporary Architecture of Costa Rica" as well as in the Arquine de Mexico, Estilos & Casas de Costa Rica and Arquitectura Latina magazines.
Sebastián Alfaro Fuscaldo
Born in Costa Rica in 1974. Obtained his B.S. in Architecture from the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) in 2000 and his postgraduate, -Master in Advance Studies “Urban Transformations in Developing Territories”- at The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) in 2007. He works with ICESA since 1998 and is Project Director since 2004. Teaches at Veritas University School of Architecture in Costa Rica since 2001 where he is coordinator in charge of the 2nd year design studio. Has been guest professor at UACA and UDI in Costa Rica. He also participate in various postgraduate courses and seminars in the fields of sustainable infrastructure, earthquake engineering and urban design. He received various awards with he’s work in ICESA S.A.
Cristian Cambronero Herra
Born in Costa Rica in 1976. Obtained his B.S. in Architecture from the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) in the year 2000. Has worked in the development of projects since 1998 with Edgar Brenes Montealegre, Architect, amongst others. Joined ICESA S.A. in the year 2000. |
